Q. Hi Nomi,

You have given a breakfast recipe of 1 banana and 1/2 a pawpaw (papaya) with the option of tahini added or almond butter. Is that meant to be the WHOLE breakfast?

A. This is a really good question and one that I could probably fill a book answering, innocent and as straight forward as it seems. So first off, yes that recipe would be my whole breakfast. However… I would probably eat again in 3 or 4 hours. My thoughts range all the way from how much our eating habits change when we start eating really healthy, no longer is bacon eggs and potatoes going to keep us full (ok and sluggish) til we eat again in 5-6 hours. Instead we’re eating way less calorie dense foods a whole lot more often than when we ate the SAD diet. Then they range to if you work in an office and you eat the banana papaya pudding… and have no break for five hours after that, how do you handle it? There’s lots of ways…bring fruit and nuts to keep in your desk, a thermos filled with green smoothie…etc. Where there’s a will there’s a way.
