Ceramic Tea Kettle

Ceramic Tea Kettle

Joyce Chen Stove Top Ceramic Tea Kettle
Non-reactive glazed vessel won't react with water or give off a metallic taste that affects the flavor of the tea itself

This is a departure from raw food related items. But as the weather cools off, people become more concerned with staying warm. One great warming idea is hot herbal teas, grated ginger tea, etc… I like the look of a pretty tea pot kept on the stove, but all the stainless steel ones eventually get yucky from minerals in the water. And, one wonders if any of the metals can make their way into the boiling water. Here is a non-reactive vessel to heat the water.

From the manufacturer:

The quality and preparation of the water for brewing tea is as important as the quality of the tea leaves themselves. Any impurities from the water or tea kettle could spoil the taste of fine teas, especially delicate green teas.

The Joyce Chen stovetop ceramic tea kettle now allows you to heat your tea water in a totally non-reactive, glazed vessel. It can be safely used right on an electric or gas burner. Fired to a temperature of 2700 F., the attractive matte glaze won't react with water or give off a metallic taste that can affect the flavor of the tea itself.

Note: not recommended for flat glass top or ceramic top stoves.

This stove top ceramic tea kettle has a bamboo handle and comes in a matte ebony color (black). At two quart capacity, this is large enough for a crowd or small enough for just one cup. The ceramic stove top tea kettle also will make an exceptionally attractive and welcome Holiday gift.
